Happy Memorial Day! Summer is officially around the corner. You know what that means? It means sunshine, beach days and endless joints. But that’s not until June. Thankfully, though, there’s a lot happening this week in the local cannabis world until then! HALLELUJAH! From pizza parties to industry meet-ups and expos there’s something going on pretty much every day this week. Life is too beautiful to spend your days inside, so get up off the couch and mingle with like-minded people who appreciate the fact you arrive places smelling like herb. Just remember: Don’t get high and drive, or smoke in the car!

Pizza and Perspectives

The topic at this networking event is the state of cannabis. There will be speakers talking about California’s industry from laws to starting businesses. The event is free– even the pizza!

This event is a  multi-city tour capturing the stories of industry leaders, community activists, business owners, and aspiring entrepreneurs. You can expect an open community discussion forum, sharing how to take your passion in life, and turn it into a profitable and sustainable cannabis business. MAPP Monthly Meeting 

If you’re looking for a group to get involved with, it might be worth checking this one out. The Marijuana Anti-Prohibition Project (MAPP) is committed to working with local citizens and local elected officials to enact drug law reform through the establishment of a harm reduction/medical science approach to dealing with drugs instead of the current prohibition/criminal justice approach. Elevated Cannabis Wedding Expo

San Diego Canna Events presents the cities first cannabis-friendly wedding expo! Yes, 4/20 weddings are a thing, and if you haven’t heard about them it’s recommended you attend this event so you can see just how classy and elevated cannabis can be. This expo will showcase vendors who specialize in safe, sophisticated celebrations that incorporate cannabis. Couples will mix and mingle with wedding venue providers, caters/chefs, floral arrangers, cannabis businesses, favor/gift companies and much more. There will be lots of samples, giveaways, prizes and gift bags. It’s time to make consumption a normal part of weddings everywhere.
