Real women have curves and, according to Los Angeles-based writer Josefina Lopez, they also have intimate relationships with nature. Three women and their interaction with nature—in China, Mexico and New Orleans—are the subject of Lopez’ When Nature Calls. Best known for her play, and subsequent film, Real Women Have Curves, Lopez is a prolific and exceptional writer and this, the world premiere of her latest play, is the latest theatrical coup by Orange County’s most politicized theater company, the Breath of Fire Latina Theatre Ensemble.
