With the recent and historic confirmation of Sonia Sotomayor, as the first Latina Supreme Court Justice, Breath of Fire Theater Presents the world premiere of Miss Lebron. Based on true events, Miss Lebron examines the controversial life of Puerto Rican Nationalist Lolita Lebron, a wife and mother in the 1950's who grew from a former beauty queen into one of the most feared and respected martyrs for Puerto Rican independence. Miss Lebron offers a scolding look at the relationship between the United States and Puerto Rico while detailing the life and loves of a woman who spent years struggling for Puerto Rico's independence as well as her own.
