Invisible Children: Together We Are Free

Often referred to as the most neglected humanitarian crisis in the world today, the war in northern Uganda has lasted for more than 20 years. In an attempt to overthrow the Ugandan government, the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) have been abducting children and turning them into soldiers—and as peace talks continue to crumble, it has become even more critical to raise global awareness of Africa’s longest-running war. Invisible Children, a non-profit organization, has filmed documentaries about the war since 2003, and the Invisible Children Club at Chapman University will be hosting a screening of their latest, Together We Are Free. The film follows Invisible Children activists as they tour the nation informing people about the atrocities occurring in northern Uganda.
