Like 9/11 or Michael Jackson, Great White serves as a generational sorting hat. If you're of one age, Great White means “Guns N' Roses also-ran.” If you're of another, it's the name that goes along with that tragic Rhode Island nightclub fire in 2003. And if you're really young… well, it's just a reminder of Shark Week. That's not so far off, though, given their hit: “Once Bitten, Twice Shy.”
