The Orange County Center for Contemporary Art breaks out of the mold this month with a show in which the only criteria for artworks is that they fit inside the gallery space. Yes, “By the Running Foot” is literally just that: how big is it? The grandiosity or smidgen-inity of pieces also determined the entrance fee, however, so the chances of glimpsing a monolithic Herman Cain pizza box sculpture or Oakland police billy club totem engraved with melting, pepper-sprayed Occupy faces might be slim—but we can always hope.
