Best Vegan Restaurant

If you were blindfolded and served Vegan Nirvana's fish taco alongside one from Rubio's, you probably wouldn't be able to tell which was using the fake fish. And most likely, you'd like the vegan one better. Its texture is spot-on, falling apart into flakes as though actual cod; two huge, fried pieces of it are stuffed into each soft corn tortilla fold with the proper amount of cabbage, pico de gallo and vegan white sauce. You should also get the BLT Awakening, a sandwich that has all the requisite crispness and smokiness that any bacon-loving American would require of a good BLT—perhaps the most convincing argument that veganism is an achievable dietary choice.
