Newport bars on a Friday night are a combination of Mos Eisley Cantina scenes and Brazzers outtakes, and the collection of college students who can't hang, grizzled beach bums, bros and hos makes for exploits that will be retold for centuries, à la The Song of Roland. That means some preparation is in order, and nothing is more vital for a night out in Newport than leaving a Laventina's pizza in the trunk of your car at the very start of it. Sure, you might not think you'll want pizza later, but after walking around and drinking for a few hours? Bread and cheese will be manna from heaven. And even if you do end up not wanting some pizza, everything substantial will be closed, and you'll be able to auction off a slice to pay the entire night's tab.
