Best Record Label

Fearless Records founder Bob Becker has been releasing punk/alt-rock out of the county since 1994 (the label has had offices in Westminster and Garden Grove and is now based in Huntington Harbour), but his reach goes well beyond the hem of the Orange Curtain. Despite the ailing music industry, Fearless keeps growing by focusing on teen-approved rock, enabling emo-starved high schoolers' angst all over the country. Signed to the label are Warped Tour mainstays A Static Lullaby, Mayday Parade, Alesana and the Maine; Fearless typically has five bands on the tour's roster each year. It is also known as an incubator label, signing the Aquabats, At the Drive-in and Plain White T's before those bands got major record deals. Why the name? Becker says he started a record label without knowing what he was doing at the time, but he wasn't afraid to jump in headfirst.
