It isn't kosher—dairy and meat issue forth from Katella Deli's enormous kitchen one after another. It's more like Canter's than the Carnegie. But a lot of the servers are still rocking the overcoiffed hair and sensible shoes of diner waitresses all over the East Coast, and their accents are straight out of Canarsie: “That tukkey samwidge—you wann it hot er cold?”
