Perhaps the last people in the United States who prefer CDs to digital music are Mexicans, but only because so much of their music is still not acknowledged by iTunes (and also because they can always find music cheaper via pirated albums, but that's another story). You can find all possible Mexican music genres at stalls strewn around the Anaheim Indoor Marketplace: mariachi, conjunto norteño, banda sinaleonse, plus everything from son huasteca to rock en español, music from the Tierra Caliente region of Guerrero to 1970s grupero bands whose members blatantly copy the hairstyles of Hall N Oates. Also in stock are healthy selections of bachata, vallenato, salsa, cumbia, punto, and other Central and South American genres popular with Mexicans, along with DVDs of concerts of rancho bands whose only fans are the residents who all now probably live in apartment complexes off Townsend in SanTana.
