Best Pizza

Owner Rance Ruiz worked for years to perfect his Chicago-style pizza, opening the first Rance’s location in Costa Mesa in 2013, followed by a second location in Long Beach earlier this year. Aside from it being able to satisfy any Windy City refugee, Rance’s is simply amazing pizza. The “stuffed” pie holds your choice of toppings underneath a blanket of rich, juicy tomato sauce, delicious dough and Wisconsin mozzarella and is baked in a 2-inch-deep dish pan. The deep-dish pizza—Chicago’s signature pie—has a thick dough foundation covered with gratuitous layers of toppings, cheese and sauce bordered by a flaky, buttery crust. One pizza is a suitable meal for a few people, but pizza this good is too hard to share.
