Finally complete, the epic Among Heroes in SanTana's Logan Barrio is already an OC art classic. Few installations are as patriotic (the mural depicts Chicano World War II veterans from the neighborhood in all their youthful glory), street (artist Carlos Aguilar took years to complete it because he did it solely through small donations), proudly Chicano (the subject—duh), political (the mural went up in a neighborhood that's on the highway to gentrification) and just awe-inspiring. From the wall of two-story building, the faces of heroes will remind you of how little you've truly accomplished in life—and how wondrous Orange County can be.
