Just a hop, skip and a parking lot away from Cham Sut Gol in Garden Grove is a little Korean lounge/bar/thing called the Past Memories. Staffed by motherly Korean women, it's a low-key, quiet place where the lighting is almost nonexistent and groups are segregated by the walls of booths. Yes, it serves food and plies customers with free Korean Funyuns, but its main attraction is the drink—it deals in giant carafes of yoju, a cocktail made with soju and Asian yogurt drinks such as Yakult, and large bottles of extra-dry Asian beers. Alcoholic yogurt? We're sold.
