There's a national food website we won't mention because it doesn't deserve any attention. Anyhoo, it put out a list of the best Mexican restaurants in the United States, a list that was immediately illegitimate because it excluded loncheras from the start. It broke down the initial voting by geographical region, and it got at least one thing right: Los Cotijas made the list. But it was so pendejo that it put the eatery down as pertaining to Anaheim instead of Garden Grove. PENDEJOS! Anyhoo, the choice is right: Los Cotijas' legendary fish taco—all light batter, soft flesh, silky salsa and thick tortillas—remains the stuff of local legend, and we're glad the restaurant is getting national attention—even if it is from pendejos.
