BBC Concert Orchestra

Sixteen to 60, blind, crippled or crazy, it made no difference. Back in the day, every band in the British Invasion (Zep, Moodies, Stones, Who, Beatles, Floyd) were a breath of fresh air and generally awesome. With one huge exception: Freddie and the Dreamers remain the most dickless rock/pop outfit in history. (The Brits justified it as payback for the fucking Osmonds.) Fifty years on, the Limeys are finally making local amends. In a rare journey across the pond, the treasured BBC Concert Orchestra makes its OC debut with dashing Boston Pops conductor Keith Lockhart and hottie cellist Sophie Shao. There's moody, stirring and sizzling 20th-century stuff from Britten, Elgar and Butterworth. Fashion note: wear short shorts and we will hunt you down.
