Ballast Point Brewery Takes Over The Copper Door This Thursday

Get ready, Orange County because San Diego is coming to town. Well, their beer is, anyway. San Diego's Ballast Point Brewery will be taking over all 25 of The Copper Door's taps (as well as bringing along a cask) this Thursday from 6 p.m. to closing.

For 18 years, the boys down south at Ballast Point have been providing San Diego with craft beer before it was cool. These guys know what they're doing so if you're not excited, get excited. What's on tap? Well..

The tentative list includes classics like Ballast Point's Sculpin IPA, Black Marlin Porter and Wahoo White, but that's not all. Limited releases such as Tongue Buckler Imperial Red Ale, Indra Kanindra Curry Export Stout, and Syrah Barrel Aged 3 Sheets Barley Wine Ale are also scheduled to make an appearance during the 8-hour takeover.

If the beer isn't enough to get you out, the music's going to be great too. UnEarth Music Hub will be providing talent, including performances by Orange County musicians such as Alice Wallace, The Higgs, Jeramiah Red and Robert Jon & the Wreck, followed by a closing set by DJ Stradik. And in case you thought a night of craft beer and live music couldn't get any better, here's a little cherry: there is NO COVER.

There will also be a raffle to win VIP Ballast Point tours and tasting passes, and be sure to come early for a free Ballast Point pint glass (supplies are, of course, limited).
