Avenged Sevenfold Drummer's Condo Sold

Last December, Avenged Sevenfold drummer Jimmy Sullivan was found dead of an accidental overdose in his oceanfront condo in downtown Huntington Beach. In July, it was put up for sale. Last week, it sold for $500,000.

The 28-year-old musician, also called “The Rev,” had a music studio in the unit. His father, Joe Sullivan, told TheOrange County Register that buying a condo on the beach meant a lot to the drummer, who grew up in Huntington Beach. Joe Sullivan says, “He loved Huntington.”

The 968-square-foot property was a two-bedroom, two-bath condo at the Huntington Pacific. Sullivan had unobstructed ocean views and a guard-gated entry. It started out priced at $599,000 in May. The price was later cut to $549,000. (In case you were wondering, under California law, a seller must notify a buyer if a death occurred in the home within the past three years. )

Avenged Sevenfold’s latest album, Nightmare, went straight to No. 1 on Billboard’s Top 200 the week it was released. The band are also headlining the inaugural edition of Uproar with Disturbed, making a stop at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater on Friday. From a Sept. 13 Heard Mentality post.

DISNEY GOES VIRAL
Movieviral.com reports that Tangled, the animated, alternative story of Rapunzel set for release on Nov. 24, released a parody of the viral video “Double Rainbow” as a marketing ploy.

Titled “Double Tower,” it apparently is the first of five videos the marketing team plans to release. After finding out Tangled is about a girl who “has been grounded all her life” and a thief who hides in her tower, we’re sure that the “Tower Intruder Song,” parodying the “Bed Intruder Song,” is somewhere in Disney’s lineup. How can it not be?

Until now, all the marketing that has been done for the film (which also stars Mandy Moore as the voice of Rapunzel) has involved concept art. From a Sept. 9 post.

GLEE’S MATTHEW MORRISON TEAMS UP WITH JC CHASEZ
According to MTV News, Glee star/OC native Matthew Morrison joined forces with boy-band alum JC Chasez on one of the tracks for his solo album.

Morrison, who plays glee-club coach Will Schuester on the show, plans to drop his solo effort next year. “It’s gonna be a little adult contemporary,” he says. Apparently, Morrison has written half the album so far. The song with Chasez, titled “Dancing in the Rain,” “was very, very cool. It turned out really well,” he says. “He’s such a good songwriter.”

There are a few other collaborators on the album, but Morrison is being pretty secretive so far. He does share that the list includes “some people that you’ve probably heard of before, that you’ve definitely heard of before.” Glee returns to TV on Sept. 21. From a Sept. 8 post.
