Anything Goes

Since its Broadway debut in 1934, Anything Goes has seen revival after revival on stage, television and film—and here comes another one. This Tony Award-winning musical features music and lyrics by star composer Cole Porter and continues to hold rank as a popular choice among theaters on a national level. Anything Goes follows Billy Crocker, a stowaway on an ocean liner heading from New York to London, as he tries to win the love of an engaged heiress, Hope Harcourt. With the help of a few friends aboard the ship, Billy is able to sneak in some alone time with Hope—but money and deceit may keep them apart. Anything Goes, like any great musical, features songs that endure through generations, including “I Get a Kick out of You,” “You’re the Top” and, of course, “Anything Goes.”
