Whitney Cummings first shot to prominence with a hilarious spot on a Comedy Central roast, but her career has evolved to be much bigger than that type of comedian. Sure, she’s great at hurling an insult or two (check out her must-follow Instagram account for that), but mainly, Cummings has succeeded off the screen. Besides her self-titled NBC sitcom that went off the air, the comedian has been behind two of the most successful network comedies in recent years as the co-creator of Two Broke Girls and as the showrunner of the rebooted Roseanne. Not to mention an appearance on HBO’s Crashing and the release of her autobiography last year. Even with those wins, Cummings never lost her passion for standup. A return to the stage will be a great way for fans to laugh along with the brains behind comedy’s biggest hits.
