It's been 13 years since our favorite punk rock bar opened its doors in Long Beach—and in flooded the misfits, oddballs and freaks… and we haven't left since. That's 13 very lucky years of beer-swilling, shot-taking, epic bands, awful bands, velvet Lucha Libre paintings, famous vampires and Tenacious D. Sure, they've scraped some of the kitsch off the walls recently (boo!) but the soul of the place is ever prevalent and as deliciously delinquent as ever. Come celebrate as Alex's parties all weekend long with a string of surprise live bands and booze flowing like, well, booze. There's no better way to pay homage to this musical institution than to get drunk, enjoy some local musical talent and take obnoxiously inappropriate pictures in Alex's infamous photo booth.
