Remembering Kelly Thomas, Three Years After His Fatal Run-In With Fullerton Police

1 of 19

Kelly Thomas, an unarmed mentally ill homeless man, was savagely beat to a pulp by six Fullerton police officers on July 5, 2011 and was taken off life support a few days later. Despite the fact ex-cops Manuel Ramos and Jay Cicinelli were found "not guilty" earlier this year, the community still gathered in Kelly's memory at the Kelly's Corner landmark in Downtown Fullerton. Still shocked at the not guilty verdict of this murder by persons who are paid to protect and serve. There are more victims of police brutality & excessive force than there are cops being killed in the line of duty. Law enforcement is a dangerous job but, when law enforcement becomes judge, jury and executioner there will be anarchy .
