Calling themselves a revolving sushi factory, Gatten is one of a family of restaurants owned by RDC. Other members include Katsutoshi (cutlet), Karamenya Jyube (noodle), and Oshimaya (fish market). Established in 1986, Gatten differentiates themselves from competitors by offering over 60 varieties of sushi alone. To learn about their operating hours, plus the grand opening special, keep reading.
Open daily at 11 a.m., the Orange County branch will serve its clientele until 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, ten o'clock on other evenings. To celebrate the occasion, Gatten will be selling all of their plates for a buck apiece. Better watch out, Irvinites, because there's nothing like hungry
anteaters college students on the prowl -- although the previous occupants didn't fare as well.
