Mozart Classical Orchestra: Season Finale

This Sunday afternoon, the Mozart Classical Orchestra presents their season finale—and they're going out with a big bang (from a percussion instrument, perhaps). For nearly 30 years, the Orange County-based orchestra has brought the art of live classical and chamber music to the masses at well-below-concert ticket prices. They believe their performances (and classical music in general) should be available to the public, not just wealthy theatre-goers. And if you've yet to experience a live orchestra performance, this is a good one to start with. Conductor and Music Director Ami Porat (often referred to as an artist himself) presents three great works: Johann Baptist Vanhal's “Symphony in B Flat,” Mozart's “Adagio & Fugue in C Minor, K. 546” and finally Franz Joseph Haydn's “Symphony No. 39.” We hate to see them go, but we sure like watching them play.
