Ratt

When people bash ‘80s glam metal, the name “Ratt” inevitably comes up. Those people can think whatever they want, but there’s no taking away that their multi-platinum 1984 debut full-length Out of the Cellar is considered one of the greatest albums of the genre; giving the world “Round and Round.” Out of the Cellar also had go-to ‘80s metal babe Tawny Kitaen on its cover, who hasn’t had a great time of it lately, what with appearing on Celebrity Rehab and being arrested in Newport Beach last fall for DUI. By all accounts, though, Ratt is doing much better, releasing Infestation, their first new record in 11 years (and only second in the last 20), this past spring, and retaining long-time members such as founder and singer Stephen Pearcy plus lead guitarist Warren DeMartini.
