As has been already established, Irvine's own OC Weekly cover boys Young The Giant have proven to be a force to be reckoned with both on tour and on the radio waves. This was only confirmed with the big news that the band's first two singles, “My Body” and “Cough Syrup,” have been certified Gold in the States, while the former song has gone Platinum in Canada.

The band had a busy 2012, headlining 70 dates, selling over 100,000 tickets combined with most shows selling out months in advance including two nights at The Wiltern in LA, two nights at Stubbs in Austin and 9,000 tickets sold at Pacific Amphitheatre here in Orange County.
While the accolades continue to pour in, the band is busy at work on their eagerly anticipated follow-up album, with some of the songs debuted at the said Pacific Amphitheatre show. It's safe to say that many people are excited about what's to come from the quintet.
