'You First' Opening Reception

“The great dream belongs to everyone!” That is, according to artists and exhibit curators Rob Mintz and Dalibor Polivka, who present “You First,” a multi-dimentional art event with more than 50 “attractions” of the relational aesthetic variety. As part of this collection of photographs and images depicting the whole of human relations, rather than an independent (that's what relational aesthetic is, by the way), the opening reception of this most cerebral event also features the performance piece Urban Jackalope by Zoe Gruni; choreographer Sheron Wray and her troupe interactively improvising with the audience; documentation of Slovakia’s humanitarian aid in distressed regions of the world, and—get ready—dance stylings from Soul Train's Derek Fleming. As Mintz and Polivka say, “Glimpse the new paradigm. It's no longer business as usual.”
