A financial website ranked Los Angeles suburbs by which perform the best across various economic, social and quality-of-life categories, and Yorba Linda pops up on lists for highest-earning, fastest growth and highest healthcare coverage. Not that Yorba Linda (or any Orange County city) would like to be known as a suburb of LA, but can you guess which of those three lists had The Land of Gracious Living at No. 1?
]
According to NerdWallet.com:
Yorba Linda was the fifth and final city on Nerd Wallet's Highest-Earning LA Suburbs list, where La CaƱada Flintridge was No. 1, but both of those tied for No. 3 for Highest Rate of Healthcare Coverage. Seal Beach finished fifth there, and Rancho Palos Verdes was numero uno.
Another Orange County city finished No. 1 on an LA suburbs list:
Meanwhile, Westminster came in fifth on a list of Most Ethnically Diverse LA Suburbs, where Gardena was No. 1. San Francisco-based Nerd Wallet used census data that shows Westminster is 37.9 percent white, 1.3 percent black or African-American, 48.9 percent Asian and 22.9 percent Hispanic.
The only lists where an Orange County city didn't even draw iron was Where Women Make More Than Men (Inglewood is No. 1) and–sad face–Most Educated (those eggheads in Manhattan Beach are tops).
