Chemicals were being mixed prior to the explosion, which caused some fire damage to the 3,000-square-foot building's roof, according to the Anaheim Fire Department, which sent 60 firefighters to the blaze.
A roll-up metal door also sustained water damage, fire officials said.
It's been a rough week in North County. Another worker was killed and a second was injured Tuesday afternoon after they were exposed to chemicals at Vista Paints, a paint manufacturing plant on Orangethorpe Avenue in Fullerton.
