We remember Carnie Wilson on The Howard Stern Show after she famously had her stomach stapled. She talked about how her sex life had improved and described her knees being slammed against her shoulders during coitus. That’s what we think of when we hear the name Wilson Phillips. That, and the final scene in Bridesmaids. No doubt most people remember their breezy, optimistic harmonies about love, letting go and things eventually going your way if you just hold on—for one more day. The ladies of Wilson Phillips managed to make a name for themselves in the era of grunge and experienced significant success due to a string of hits from their eponymous debut album. After a hiatus, they’ve returned, both onscreen and off-, and they come bearing gifts—a Christmas album.
