Fracking Educating Spreads to All of North County

“The Impact of Oil Extraction in North Orange County” is the title of the 6 p.m. event the university hosts in Titan Student Union, 800 N. State College Blvd., Fullerton.

David Bowman, interim dean of the university's College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, moderates the forum that is being held in partnership with the cities of Brea, Fullerton, La Habra, Placentia and Yorba Linda.

The goal is “to educate the public on the geological and environmental impact of oil drilling and and hydraulic fracturing, or fracking,” according to organizers.
