I'm not sure what's going on here, but yes, those are nabe pots, Japanese earthenware typically used for the communal eating of stews and soups, and yes, those are cute kittens frolicking in them.
To try to make sense out of this is to try to make sense out of I Can Has Cheezburger, and I've stopped trying. Nothing food-related here except for the pots–and perhaps the snide comments videos like this tend to engender.
