Pinkberry Introduces its Holiday Flavor: Peppermint 
What: Sure, it's cold and rainy today, but somehow in SoCal, it's never a bad time for fro-yo. The new flavor is minty and refreshing.
When: Through Jan. 5

What: OC Wine Mart presents its first Winemaker Wine Tasting with Tiffinee Vierra from Paso's Boutique Winery, Derby Wine Estates. 
When: Fri., 6-8 p.m. 
Where: OC Wine Mart, 2272 Michelson Dr., Irvine.  
Cost: $25 for a flight of five wines and artisan cheese and salami; $5 goes back toward your wine purchase. 
SATURDAY 
What: In annual, messy tradition, teams compete to launch pumpkins across a field. Though you prefer to eat your food rather than catapult it, the event will bring out food trucks galore–Spudrunners, Barcelona On-the-Go, Dogzilla, Crepes Bonaparte, the Flip Truck, SlapFish, Pogi Boy and the Lime Truck.
When: Sat., 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Where: Cal State Fullerton, 800 N. State College Blvd., Fullerton. 
Cost: Free
SUNDAY 
What: Shop. Refuel (with food from luxe loncheras such as Seabirds and Bigmista's BBQ). Repeat.
When: Sun., 11 a.m.-5 p.m. 
Where: Marine Stadium, Long Beach (on the corner of Bayshore and Appian) 
Cost: Free 
What: It's brick-and-mortar versus wheels. Chef James Harris, executive chef at the Royal Hawaiian, goes against chefs Paul Cao and Phi Nguyen of the Burnt Truck in this pan-to-pan fight.    
When: Sun., 6 p.m. 
Where: The Standard of Excellence Showroom, Huntington Beach. 
Cost: $50 for general seating; $80 for VIP front-row seating. Includes food and wine.
