Roving patrols will target areas that have a high incidence of DUI-related arrests and collisions in those cities today, the Orange County Sheriff's Department announced.
The goal is to reduce injuries, deaths and property damage caused by DUI-related collisions, according to the sheriff's office.
Funding for the program is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
