Vietnamese Film Festival Hits Final Three Days

This weekend is you last chance to witness firsthand the emerging, impressive Vietnamese film industry at the Vietnamese International Film Festival in Orange County.

Tonight's films air at the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana and include a 56-minute movie about the Hanoi-based band Dai Lam Linh and its struggles to express itself under a communism regime that frowns upon creativity.
The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and the festival resumes Saturday and Sunday at UC Irvine.

Among the remaining highly anticipated films is Touch (7:30 p.m. on Saturday). The movie–which was written and directed by Minh Duc Nguyen–explores the budding funny and romantic relationship between Tam, a Los Angeles manicurist, and Brendan, a Caucasian mechanic.
