UPDATE, APRIL 21, 11:55 A.M.: Garden Grove police have identified the 19-year-old who died from a gunshot wound March 20 as Scottie Bui.
He was shot during a confrontation involving three Asian gangs at Harbor Boulevard and Westminster Avenue, where a juvenile was also wounded by gunfire. The unidentified boy was later treated and released from a hospital.
Cops say a $1 million warrant has been issued for the arrest of 17-year-old murder suspect Benjamin Dinh Nguyen. Seven other youths and adults are already being held for Bui's murder.
UPDATE, APRIL 20, 6:30 P.M.: One month after a 19-year-old died
from a gunshot wound at Harbor Boulevard and Westminster Avenue, Garden
Grove police have not identified the victim.
But the department has identified the young man's alleged killers, who include 17-year-old Benjamin Dinh Nguyen, who remains at large.
revealed this while announcing arrests in the homicide investigation
two three Asian street gangs, 140 officers, 10 law enforcement
agencies and search warrants served at 14 locations across two counties.
Conducted in both Orange and Los Angeles counties, the operation resulted in seven gang members being arrested for the homicide, three being arrested for weapons and drug possession charges and the confiscation of 12 firearms (including a sawed-off shotgun), more than 3,000 ecstasy pills and $70,000 in U.S. currency.
Police revealed three murder suspects were already in custody before warrants were served beginning at 7 a.m. this morning. All arrestees include adults and minors. All are gang members, according to police.

ORIGINAL POST, MARCH 21, 8:39 A.M.: Garden Grove police received a call shortly before 2:30 a.m. Sunday of shots fired near Harbor Boulevard and Westminster Avenue.
As officers searched the area, a 19-year-old man who had been shot arrived at a local hospital.
He was immediately pronounced dead by hospital staff.
Officers then discovered a second person who had been shot. That victim was also taken to a hospital and reported in serious but stable condition.
Neither victim has been identified. No suspects have been arrested. Police believe the shootings are gang-related.
