[UPDATED With New Death Threats Against Obama and More Against Jerry] Jerry Brown Receives Death Threats in Santa Ana Graffiti Scrawls–Twice

UPDATE, FEB. 21, 11:09 A.M.: Whoever left two graffiti death threats last month against California governor Jerry Brown is at it again–and has included President Barack Obama in the vile vandalism.

It's most likely the same person, since the writing and childish language is the same as in previous threats, along with the location: south Santa Ana, a collection of two-story houses near the South Coast Metro area that have long been considered safe havens from the cholo madness of the rest of the city.

New photos after the jump.

Like we said, this isn't exactly Banksy territory here. Compare the writing from this morning with that of last month:

ORIGINAL POST, JAN. 20, 5:21 P.M.: Today, someone spray-painted two death threats against California Governor Jerry Brown in Santa Ana.
The
first one appeared on Greenville Street just north of Alton Street,
according to a source, and read, “We Gonna Kill Gov Brown 02142011.”
Santa Ana Public Works quickly painted over that one. A couple of hours
later, another graffiti threat appeared near Thornton Park that read,
“26
More Days [Swastika Sign] 4 Brown.”

More details as they come . . .

[UPDATE 5:44 p.m.]: Santa Ana Police Department PIO Anthony Bertagna told the Weekly the department got a call at 7 a.m. from a resident alerting them to the first graffiti death threat. The department contacted the California Highway Patrol and the Orange County Intelligence Assessment Center. At 2:15 p.m., a Santa Ana officer discovered the second death threat and contacted the CHP and OCIAC anew.

Bertagna said his department's homicide unit will investigate the case in tandem with the Highway Patrol. “At this point,” he said, there are no suspects.
