UPDATE, DEC. 17, 1:20 P.M.: The couple who died in a murder-suicide at their Huntington Beach home have been identified as Robert Saltarelli, 55, and his wife Tonie Saltarelli, 56.
Police have not identified who was the shooter and who was the victim in Wednesday morning's tragedy at 8851 Jarrett Circle.
However, the Orange County Register reports the couple had gone to Orange County Superior Court this week for a matter related to Robert Saltarelli's petition to dissolve their marriage.
Online records indicate a Tonie Saltarelli who attended Marina High School in Huntington Beach formerly worked as a secretary to famed defense attorney and
LegalZoom co-founder Robert Shapario at Glaser, Weil, Fink, Jacobs, Howard & Shapiro, LLP in Los Angeles. A Robert J. Saltarelli and Tonie A. Saltarelli are also listed online as having sold two residences in the Las Vegas area.
ORIGINAL POST, DEC. 15, 9:55 A.M.: Huntington Beach police officers found the bodies of a man and woman in a
residence in the 8800 block of Jarrett Circle Wednesday morning, and
investigators believe they died as a result of a murder-suicide.
The names of the deceased and which is suspected of wielding the gun have not yet been released.
Officers were sent to the single-family home around 5:30 a.m. to check on two adults, but the house was locked. After a relative let cops inside, the bodies with gunshot wounds were discovered. They were declared dead at the scene, which is near Magnolia Street and Warner Avenue.
