UPDATE, MAY 9, 10:40 A.M.: The Orange County coroner's office has identified the 17-year-old boy found shot to death in an Anaheim driveway Friday as Kevin Fahim Danyal.
Online tributes from friends say the Anaheim resident's nickname was “Soldier.”
Reports of shots fired in the 200 block of East Florence Drive around 10 p.m. Friday led Anaheim Police to the driveway where they found Danyal suffering from gunshot wounds. He later died at the hospital.
Police believe the shooting was gang related, but information on Danyal's killer or killers has not been released.
“R.I.P.” and “miss you already” read tributes to Danyal on Tumblr.
