Anaheim police received a call around 5 p.m. Sunday about the man wounded in the street near an apartment complex. Officers arrived to discover he'd sustained at least one gunshot wound; despite life-saving efforts, he later died.
Witnesses said he was driving on West Olinda when he was fired upon from a group of six or so males, who scattered after the shooting. The victim's car then collided with parked vehicles before he presumably got out and collapsed on the street.
That's about it as far as information investigators have to go on. If you know anything that can help them find the shooters, call 714-765-1516.
UPDATE, MARCH 6, 8 A.M.: Police have identified the dead man as Luis Santiago Gois, 31, of Anaheim.
No more word on the suspects, though.
