[UPDATED with GUILTY!] Johnathan Allen Kincaid Convicted of Killing Tayroh Stinson

ORIGINAL POST, FEB. 19, 9:11 A.M.: A murder trial is scheduled to begin in Santa Ana this morning for an Anaheim man accused of stabbing another man over a drug deal gone bad in Garden Grove before hiding out in Las Vegas.

Just Another Orange County Murder: Tayroh DeShawn Stinson

After meeting Tayroh DeShawn Stinson, 31, of Garden Grove, on July 29, 2009, Kincaid got into a dispute over a drug deal with him that allegedly ended with the defendant stabbing Stinson with a knife multiple times. Stinson later died at a hospital.

Kincaid managed to hide out in Las Vegas until he was arrested by U.S. Marshals on an unrelated warrant on Sept. 4, 2009, according to a statement from the Orange County district attorney's office, which notes the defendant waived extradition and was arrested by Garden Grove police upon his arrival in Orange County.

UPDATE, FEB. 27, 9:34 A.M.: The jury Tuesday found Jonathan Allen Kincaid guilty of murdering Tayroh DeShawn Stinson in July 2009. Kincaid could be sent to prison for life without the possibility of parole at his scheduled April 26 sentencing hearing in Santa Ana.
