UPDATE, NOV. 10, 8:44 A.M.: Fourteen-year-old Jacqueline Martinez
was last seen walking from her Anaheim home to the Jack in the Box at
Dale Street and Ball Road around 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30. She sent a
message from her phone the next day saying she was fine and staying with
a friend, but Anaheim police don't know if she was the person who left
it, says Sgt. Rick Martinez (no relation), the department spokesman.

Passing
out fliers at last night's Anaheim City Council meeting, family members
said it is not like Jacqueline to go missing like this.

ORIGINAL POST, NOV. 9, 3:57 P.M.: A 14-year-old girl has not been seen by her family since the day before
Halloween, so her family and the Anaheim Police Department are
distributing Jacqueline Martinez's photo in hopes she can be located.

Internet
communications led those looking for Martinez to believe she left her
Anaheim home around 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, to meet with a local 15
year-old boy. However, he says Martinez never arrived for their meeting,
according to a statement from Sgt. Rick Martinez, Anaheim police spokesman (and no relation to the missing girl).

“Police detectives, Jacqueline's family and friends, and a private investigator have not been able to locate Ms. Martinez,” reads the release. “While there is nothing at this stage to indicate foul play, there is a concern for her safety due to her age and the length of time she has been missing.”

Anyone with information about the girl's location, or who has any information that will help investigators, is asked to call Detective Moody at 714-765-1961.

A Facebook page has also been set up to help find Martinez–click here to see more photos.
