ORIGINAL POST, JUNE 10, 7:26 A.M.: Those who live in the apartments in the 1400 block of South Townsend
Street in Santa Ana heard a long, loud “boom” late Thursday night and
called the cops.
Police arrived just before midnight to discover a body in an alley near the carport.
Jaime Alberto Viallacorta, a 24-year-old security guard in uniform, sustained at least one gunshot wound
to his upper torso.
His father later told KTLA News that the guard feared for his life on the job because he did not carry a gun.
Police have no suspect in Viallacorta's slaying.
