Updated, with new info on the bottom, which you kind of get from the new headline…
It wouldn't be a week without a new food truck festival or gathering. I got a press release today announcing the birth of yet another one.
]
Dubbed Food Truck Tailgate, this newest will be centrally located at Angels Stadium and will actually be a bi-weekly event. Starting tomorrow and continuing on till, well, till it doesn't anymore, a group of food trucks will convene at the Angels Stadium main parking lot (at State College Blvd N Gene Autry Way)
every Tuesday and Friday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Admission and parking is free. And you are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and such, like a real tailgate party.
The “starting line-up” for tomorrow, as the press release states, will be:
Calbi – Korean/Mexican Fusion
Chunk 'N Chip – Artisan Ice Cream Sandwiches
Flying Pig Truck – Asian/Pacific Rim
Louks to Go – Greek Gourmet
Short Stop BBQ – Barbeque
Tropical Shave Ice – Hawaiian Shave Ice
And of course, Mobile Food Properties, the management firm that's making this happen, will have a Twitter feed and Facebook page with updates on who's showing up next, yadda, yadda.
UPDATE: Gustavo here. Per the commentator below, event organizers have canceled the event and moved it to Mobile Food Properties' usual haunt: the Orange County Fairgrounds. Still at 11 a.m. for today!
