See the update at the end of this post with news of his body found.

ORIGINAL POST, AUG. 27, 4:25 P.M.: Adam Razani honorably served in Afghanistan from 2011 until earlier this year as a technician for the Air Force, where he enlisted in 2008 after finishing at Saddleback College.

And now he's missing in Trabuco Canyon, near Trabuco Creek.

The Orange County Sheriff's Department currently is searching for Razani, but friends fear he has committed suicide due to disturbing status updates and photos he left earlier today on Facebook and on Instagram.

Friends reported him missing at 11 a.m. this morning.

He left the below status update just five hours ago:

Much more disturbing, however, was the below Instagram photo–Razani with a gun, and titled “My final photo”:

In 2011, Razani left a comment on a Los Angeles Times obituary for Omead H. Razani (unrelated), who died in Iraq in 2011. “Its so crazy to hear that a Razani has died in the war, someone who I've never met,” Adam wrote. “I am also a Razani and I am deploying to afghanistan. I hope Omead's family has coped with his loss peacefully, and hopefully I will be able to come back in one piece myself.”

Let's pray everything turns out okay for Adam…
