Two New Restaurants Open in Brea Downtown

The second Bruxie and another Farrell's Ice Cream is slated to come to Brea Downtown; but before then, there's Two Forty South and Birch Street Bar & Grill–two brand spanking new places for North Countians to ponder in the meantime.

Two Forty South opened officially last Friday (August 19th) and Birch Street Bar & Grill debuted yesterday (August 25th).

Two Forty South replaces Pane e Vino, the Italian
restaurant that's been in Brea Downtown for as long as Brea Downtown has
been. The new restaurant is a wine and tapas restaurant that touts a
32-wine enomatic system (a contraption that has
wine bottles connected into a Matrix-like series of tubes). The food is
described as “farm to table California” with small plates and brick-oven pizzas.

Birch Street Bar & Grill
takes over the space vacated by the failed Entourage. Their menu
focuses on burgers, pastas, salads and steaks. Appetizers include
deviled eggs and sliders. For their opening yesterday, it was advertised
that they were offering the first 30 customers free burgers for 3 months.
