Two Deaths in a Year; Is Electric Daisy Carnival Cursed?

After the death of a 15-year-old
girl at the Electric Daisy Carnival in LA and the news that a 19-year-old man died after attending the sold-out rave party in Dallas (with another concert-goer in critical condition) we have to wonder: is the Electric Daisy Carnival cursed or are ravers getting stupider?

The 15-year-old in LA died from an Ecstasy overdose, and in Dallas, about 25 to 30 other
people were treated for heat, drug and alcohol-related problems.

The cause of death in Dallas was not immediately released. This year, the event turned into a traveling show, allegedly because it couldn't get a permit to hold the event in LA again.
The LA event drew more than 180,000 people over two days; Moby, Deadmau5, Basement Jaxx, Swedish House Mafia and the Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am, performed, among many others.  Over the two days, 226 injuries were reported, 114 of which required attention at hospitals.

Pasquale Rotella, the chief executive of
Insomniac Events, which promotes the festival, expressed condolences in a
statement, saying: “To go from a moment of happiness and enjoyment, to
the loss of life, is very heartbreaking.”

Personally, I don't think deaths are the organizers' fault; ultimately, the only lesson you can take from all this is to not do drugs–especially if going to a crowded rave.
