Time Set for Joe Biden Talk in Anaheim WEDNESDAY

UPDATE, SEPT. 15, 12:05 P.M.: The vice president is scheduled to deliver his remarks at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the 3rd Floor Ballroom of the Anaheim Convention Center, Solar Power International officials announced this morning.

ORIGINAL POST, SEPT. 11, 7:02 A.M.: Time was–what? Late spring?–that an announcement that Vice President Joe Biden was coming to the Anaheim Convention Center to address the Solar Power International Conference would have only been of interest to the Solar Power International Conference attendees who were not sleeping off a night of sniffing coke off Harbor Boulevard hookers' butts.

Joe Biden Coming to Irvine SATURDAY

But with Hillary tanking, Bernie surging and Trump actually out-polling everyone, desperation is building to recruit someone credible to enter the race, at least on the Democratic side.

Verbal gaffes? Joe Six Pack demeanor? Chunk of brain matter removed from his head? Pfft!

Dear nation, we bring you possible viable presidential contender Joltin' Joe Biden to the Anaheim Convention Center's Solar Power International Conference next Wednesday.

To give you an idea how quickly things have changed, when Biden delivered the keynote speech at the Patient Safety, Science and Technology Summit at the Hotel Irvine in January, the conventional wisdom was fellow keynoter Bill Clinton was a bigger draw.

Now Biden will have the chance to give a glimpse of what kind of energy policy he would craft as president. Besides the solar shindig in Anaheim, he's scheduled to speak Wednesday at the U.S.-China Climate Leaders Summit in Los Angeles.

Mayor Eric Garcetti describes that gathering as an effort by officials from both countries to discuss efforts to reduce greenhouse gases and fight global climate change. It'll also give the LA mayor/Phil Dunphy lookalike an opportunity to tuck his resume for vice president in Biden's suit pocket. Just sayin'.
