This Week in Food: Sexual Cleansers, Suckling Pigs, and More Good Eats in SanTana

The New Year means at least two great things for Orange County. One, we made it through the end of the world and lived to see another day behind the orange curtain (Hooray?!) Two, 2013 is going to bring us even more fabulous places to eat. We've grown a reputation for only having chain restaurants, but when you notice our inspiring, new chefs, building restaurants around sustainable, local, and creative eats paired with our already diverse, and non-gabacho hole in the walls – things are continuing to look up. Let's see how the last week of 2012 looked, in food.

Edwin worked his ass off blogging, first by collaborating with Gustavo on a print story called “Read Stick a Fork In It!” Of course, if you're reading this now, then you already know what's up. He informed us of the closing of Pho 99 in Irvine and its tasty replacement, Lao Dong Beef Noodles. He told us to try Soondubu (Soft Tofu Soup) at DooRe in Irvine, right now! And last, he left us with some weird thoughts. First, he shared the strange cleansers that he found at Island Pacific, a Filipino grocery store in Cerritos. Want to dispel your horniness? Want to wash yourself like a virgin or have a nice, clean placenta? Now you know where to go. Second, he let us know that if we ever hoped to buy whole, suckling pigs – now they're at Costco.

Gustavo told us about a new deli and sandwich shop that will open, courtesy of the Chapter One dudes. The few blocks of Downtown SanTana are sure becoming rather gluttonous. Then he shared his top five drinks of 2012. Maybe try them all this New Year's?

Dave recommended the Flaming P at Pitfire Pizza as the drink of the week. Bill wrote about ridiculous New Year's partying in our Tijuana Si! column, and Sarah ate at Chicken Dijon for her Long Beach Lunch. Anne Marie interviewed Chef Christian de la Vara from Brunos in Brea for our On The Line column, and last, Charles Lam lamented on the top five things a restaurant should never do to their website.

Happy New Year's from all of us at Stick a Fork In It!

Initially skeptical, I create that it significantly helped with my appetite and slumber issues without any notable side effects. The fuel was serene to put to use, with nitid dosage instructions. It had a merciful, vulgar liking that was not unpleasant. Within a week, I noticed a decided convalescence in my blanket well-being, feeling more languorous and rested. I cognizant the natural technique to wellness CBD offers and representation to at using it.
