| RIP the Helm 🙁
We lost several good men this week including Costa Mesa's the Helm bar, Sassoon Chicken in Orange, and South Coast Winery in Santa Ana, to name a food. But our news wasn't all bleak this week. See our good news of the week after the jump!

If there's anything better than good food, it's free good food and Seabirds is providing that to their first 100 customers Saturday. Edwin's Restaurant Roll Call gave us reasons to rejoice (swanky new wine bar) new and lament (losing the Helm). Kobayashi and his bottomless pit of a stomach are coming to Mission Viejo to compete in a hot dog eating contest.
Dave sacrificed a few taste bud to confirm what we already suspected- Budweiser's Select 55 is crap. However, his taste buds were also rewarded this week with a few delicious examples of food and drink such as Slater's 50/50's Peanut Butter and Jealousy burger and Sheldon Brookbank's “Rock Williams” vodka/Red Bull remix. He also gave us a perfect end-of-summer recipe- melon sorbert!
Anne Marie expressed confusion at the not-so-friendly commercial for Kellogg's Fiber Plus Cereal Caramel Pecan Crunch featuring Old Towne Orange's the Perfect Circle Cupcakery. She also went On The Line with Burger Parlor's Joeseph Mahon. Read parts one, two and three here.
Gustavo pondered why In-N-Out does not have airport locations and documented his first time eating Weinerschnitzel. Apparently Mexican food is big in India now! Also, ready your livers- the OC Brew Ha Ha is coming Sept. 10!
